The Amazing Olajumoke

I have to post before February runs out… This is one of the most amazing stories I  came across on a faithful day.

Most of you must have read or heard from someone the story of a bread seller turned model. Olajumoke. She is the bread seller the popular photographer TY Bello paved way for making her the cover girl of ‘Thisday magazine’.

Olajumoke is a 27 year old mother of two. She was a hair stylist who  relocated to Lagos because her husband and herself could not make a decent living. On the invitation of a family relative she came to Lagos with her 14 month old baby girl (leaving her 5 year old with her husband) to start hawking bread on the streets. 

On a faithful day, God decided to make her shine bright like a diamond. She is now popular and getting endorsements in a way she never imagined. Isn’t this what people describe as destiny?

Remember how we are told destiny can be delayed but never denied. God knows your situation. No matter how long you think the situation you are in is taking, at the end of the day, you will find light at the end of the tunnel.

Whatever is yours will surely come your way. Whatever isn’t yours will never come your way. Your destiny might be taking long. There is hope.

I truly got inspired reading the story. It made me reflect on how magical life can be. Isn’t life just a magical experience!!!

Before You Eat That

Aren't some things just amazing? 

Have you ever just drifted your thoughts to how food came about? I haven't even tried asking Google.

It just has to be food for now because I'm thinking about it.

Like I sometimes say thank God the ancient people really worked things out for us. I can't even begin to imagine starting to discover some mysteries.

How did they even know that you can make a cake by mixing flour, sugar, egg etc?

Who came up with some Africa dishes? Ever thought of how the idea of making swallows and soups came about? Especially identifying which vegetable is edible and not.

I'm just giggling because it is funny to me. Some things are just difficult and I just can't help but feel lucky to be experiencing an already made world. Am I right?

The houses and how someone came up with the idea, the herbs, medicines, education, mirrors, lipsticks, brassieres, furniture....

Someone referred me to this popular booklet that have relevant information. I had to explain I wasn't looking for who invented calculators, clocks and whatever.
I hope you understand me because I'm finding it difficult to explain this thought of mine.

For example don't you wonder who knew salt should be added to food and it would even give taste to food?  I'm even thinking it must be a man. Laughing out loud.

The list is endless...

I sometimes conclude that those ancient people must really be more intelligent than us. Discovering necessities and making living bearable.

I have heard all the "Civilization started in Egypt".

Somethings goggle can't answer 'sef'.

Now, may I ask?
Who came up with moi moi?
Because, all those procedure?
Wow!

What are some of the things you think are unbelievably existing? It doesn't necessarily have to be food.

New Who?

How was 2015 soo far?

First thing I can say about this year is my appreciation for this incredible life.

I know of few people that have new year’s resolutions and achieve them. Sincerely, very few I know of.

New year’s resolutions are list of nice things to improve your life or people around you.

I haven’t really set up objectives/goals for myself. I rather hope and pray for  better year.

What’s on my mind isn’t to have a list, it is to still pray for a better year but health wise. I think good health should be on everyone’s resolution. It is very important and without it, goals won’t be goals.

But we all hope to be amazing people and better individuals. With that, the world becomes a better place.

New Word Order

Hello,

I am delighted to inform you that due to complaints by some amazing readers on their inability to comment on this blog, I have a new blog now with wordpress.

It doesn't mean I won't post on this blog. I will continue to post on this blog for as long as I don't know. Lol!

I am actually enjoying wordpress even though I am a novice. I am clicking on whatsoever and discovering things all by myself.

Last Month

Last month,

It was to me a month that turned out like my fairy godmother forgot to visit or lemme phrase it to she came but with no magic wand.

School had it own fair share of punishing me too. I have to confess that the workload isn't bulky. I just have to complain.

Ideas were running through my mind like a flowing river. They are cash flow ideas. Interested? Let me know. You pay, I flow cash.

Isn't life just interesting? Keep on doing good. Good never goes unnoticed. You might even begin to question the goodies you get. How?, Why?, What did I do?, But..., Do I deserve it?

I helped with enlightening people on how to go about doing Breast Self Examination (BSE). First, it happened in my compound. I went room to room. Then went to beauty salons too. It was really fun and I felt this connection and interest in them because of the questions they asked. Just a personal project and I hope to do more henceforth.

How dare me forget the birthday I did not celebrate?
I am forever grateful.

My blog turned a year old too. Happy Birthday.

55th Independence Day...

I'm spending my 1st of October watching the Independence  anniversary of my country, Nigeria and ceremonial change of guards at the presidential villa. The guards are doing beautifully well and passionately matching. Well disciplined guards displaying mechanical human manipulation skills.  Then the signing of the card, freeing of the peaceful dove by the president as well as cutting of the adorable cake. Very memorable indeed.

Let our attitude be positive and admirable wherever we are.

Below is the pledge of a great county Nigeria. Reading it is one thing, understanding it is another.
